A well-established, physician-owned gastroenterology practice in Eastern North Carolina is looking for a General GI physician to join its growing team. This is a fully outpatient role, with no call and no hospital work, so you can focus on endoscopy and seeing patients in clinic. This is a highly efficient and well-run practice and new physicians get mentorship and build their case volume gradually.
Job Highlights
- Zero call and zero inpatient work: 100% outpatient General GI with no hospital coverage or inpatient consults
- High compensation: Competitive base salary plus a quarterly bonus based on collections. Fully productive physicians have historically earned $800K+
- Partnership track: Roughly a three-year path to ownership, with earlier discussions possible for the right long-term fit
- Procedure-focused practice: Endoscopy five mornings a week and clinic about four afternoons, with one afternoon typically set aside for admin time
- Built-in patient volume: Referral networks in place with physician-ready volume available
- Strong support: Four APPs handle much of the follow-up care. Every procedure room has a trained scribe, and standardized protocols keep things efficient
- Everything under one roof: Clinic, endoscopy, and the ASC are all in the same building
- Gradual, mentored ramp-up: You start at a comfortable case volume and grow from there. New fellows are encouraged to apply
- Generous time off: About 20 days of PTO plus holidays, and CME days with a $3,000 annual allowance
