A leading academically affiliated health system is excited to welcome a Urologist to join its expanding team in Wheeling, West Virginia. The incoming urologist will join a growing and collaborative network to help with patient demand in the community. While all subspeciality interests are welcome, this is an excellent opportunity for a general urologist who enjoys a broad scope of practice. With the current population underserved, this opportunity offers a quick ramp-up in volume and the ability to help shape the future of urologic care in the region.
Hospital Highlights:
• Employed position with a nationally recognized academic health system
• Credentialing across multiple regional sites within the system
• Opportunity for academic affiliation
• Access to growing infrastructure and continued investment in regional expansion
• Level III Trauma Center
Practice Highlights:
• General urology position with the opportunity to subspecialize within a general framework
• Call schedule of approximately 7 days per month (including one weekend)
• Opportunity for mentorship and long-term growth within a developing program
• Strong APP support with additional hires underway
• Collaborative environment with administrative and clinical leadership support
• High patient demand with quick ramp-up period
• Broad case mix including general urology, robotics, oncology, endourology, FPMRS, and reconstruction
• Clinic volume of approximately 20–25 patients per day
• Mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient care, and surgical responsibilities
• Opportunity to help build a more integrated, system-wide urology program
• Employed compensation model with wRVU productivity, sign-on and quality bonuses, and a full benefits package
