We are seeking Cardiothoracic Surgeons to provide ongoing part-time locum coverage in Maryland. This role supports hospital-based CT surgery services with specific scheduled call weeks and ongoing monthly availability.

- Ongoing need – 1 week or long weekend/month
- 24-hour (7a–7a) or 12-hour (7a–7p) call shifts
- Average 1-3 cases a day
- 1-3 admissions per shift
- EMR: Meditech
Responsibilities
- Rounding with PA each morning (2–4 hours, depending on surgical volume)
- Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
- Perform urgent/emergent cardiothoracic procedures as needed
- Review consults initiated by PAs and determine next steps
- Manage open-heart, carotid, and occasional lung cases
Requirements
- Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiac or Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Maryland Medical License
- DEA and CSR required
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
