Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join this hospital's collaborative emergency department team in Northern New Hampshire. This role offers a balanced mix of clinical autonomy, strong specialist support, and a sustainable schedule in a close-knit hospital environment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a broad range of emergency presentations, enjoys rural/community medicine, and values high-quality, patient-centered care without the burnout of large urban EDs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and traumatic injuries
- Perform common emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, hospitalists, specialists, and transfer centers
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR
- Participate in a fair and predictable shift rotation
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
(Family Medicine with significant ED experience may be considered) - Active or eligible New Hampshire medical license
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork mindset
