Emergency Medicine Opportunity – 2.5 Hours Outside Atlanta, GA
Offering excellent physician and mid-level support, competitive compensation, and comprehensive specialty backup.
Position Details:
- Certification: ABEM / BEEM Only (ACLS, ATLS, PALS Required)
- Annual Volume: 54,000
- Patients per Hour: 1.6
- Physician Coverage: 56 hours/day
- Mid-Level Coverage: 49 hours/day
- Trauma Level: II
- Emergency Department Beds: 30
- EMR: Meditech
- Scribes: No
- Admitting Orders: No
- Specialty Backup: Comprehensive
Shift Schedule:
- Physician Coverage (6 MDs):
- 6:30a–6:30p
- 10a–6p
- 12p–10p
- 2p–10p
- 6p–2a
- 9p–7a
- APC Coverage (5 APCs):
- 6a–4p
- 8a–5p
- 12p–10p
- 5p–3a
- 8p–6a (includes dedicated Pediatric coverage)

Skills
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM preferred)
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
- Active and unrestricted Georgia medical license
- DEA certification
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong clinical decision-making and emergency care skills
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork with physicians, nurses, and APCs
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Meditech experience a plus)
- Commitment to quality patient care and efficient throughput
